How good does the quality of my swing video need to be?

The higher the quality the better, but if you’re in focus and the clubhead remains in frame from start to finish then your video is probably good enough for our PGA professionals to see what he or she needs to in order to provide you with the most informative and helpful analysis possible. Most popular video formats (eg: .mp4, .wmv, .avi) accepted.

Do I have to use a swing video I take with my smart phone, or can I use existing video?

While taking a video of your swing with the My Pro To Go swing-capture app is recommended, My Pro To Go can handle video taken with any digital recording, and is set up to receive videos from both your smart phone and your PC or Mac. With the latter, any previously recorded video on your hard drive is acceptable (information on how to upload from your home computer is provided once you create an account, sign up for a lesson plan and are ready to begin your analysis).

How does My Pro To Go receive my video?

You can send your video to your My Pro to Go instructor directly from the swing capture app once you’re finished recording, or upload existing video straight from your PC or Mac. Once you send in your video it is electronically and automatically delivered straight to your coach for analysis.

How long does it take to get my swing-analysis video back from my instructor?

Standard turnaround for all video analysis is 48 hours. In other words, upload your video on Wednesday and receive the instruction you need to improve your game before your Saturday morning tee time.

How do I know that I’m doing what’s suggested by my coach in the swing-analysis video correctly?

Buy a 3, 6 or 9-lesson plan, and use the extra video analyses to show your My Pro To Go coach what you’ve been working on and your new technique. He or she will be able to tell you if you’re on the right path, in need a refresher or ready for a brand-new approach to attack your flaws. Also, with each lesson purchased with My Pro To Go you can communicate with your coach through the My Pro To Go follow-up form to ask any questions you may have about your swing or what you’ve been practicing.
